1. In 2015 Angus Walker was elected as Board Chair for the period 2015 to 2018. In 2018 Angus stood again and as there were no other nominations he was confirmed as Board Chair for the period 2018 to 2021 without an election.

2. In accordance with NIPA’s governance rules we now need to run a process to decide on the Board’s Chair for the period 2021 to 2024. The following is the programme for this:

a. 17:00 on Wednesday 29 September: deadline for nominations to be received. Members may only nominate themselves and only those members who have paid their 2021/22 subscription on or before Wednesday 29 September will be eligible to nominate themselves. Any nomination must be sent by email to info@nipa-uk.org.

b. Thursday 30 September: list of nominations published; and (i) if there is only one nomination, that candidate is confirmed as the NIPA Board Chair from 01 October 2021; or (ii) if there is more than one nomination, an election will then need to be held as follows:

c. 17:00 on Tuesday 05 October: Deadline for all nominated candidates wishing to stand for election to submit a candidate statement no longer than two sides of A4.

d. Wednesday 06 October: all candidate statements published and email voting opens. Only those NIPA members who have paid their 2021/22 subscription before voting will be eligible to vote.

e. 23:59 on Sunday 17 October: email voting closes.

f. Monday 18 October: Board Chair announced.
